🦅 Meet the Flock🦅
Your 2026–2027 Herff Elementary PTO Board
Every great flock needs great people — and we've got them.
The Herff Elementary PTO board is made up of parents just like you. Parents who love this school, believe in its teachers, and want to do something real for the students who walk through these doors every day. This year, we came together with a shared commitment to rebuild, reimagine, and make the Herff PTO the greatest resource this school has ever had.
We don't believe in rigid titles or siloed responsibilities. Every member of this board shows up for every initiative — because that's what a real team does. Our roles give us direction, but our community gives us purpose.
Below you'll find a little bit about each of us — who we are, what we do, and why we're here. We hope it helps you put a face to a name, find someone to reach out to, and know that this board's door is always open.
🌳⭐We are rooted in the tradition that makes Herff special — and we are reaching for something even greater this year. 🌳⭐
Jason Shoup — President
Jason and his family are proud Herff Hawks — and this year, he is honored to serve as your PTO President.
Jason and his wife Mia have three kids at Herff: twins in 5th grade and a son in 2nd grade, all in the dual language program. Between the two of them, you'll find Jason and Mia on just about every field and court in Boerne — coaching select baseball and softball, tackle and flag football, and basketball. If there's a team involved, the Shoups are in.
As a local business and banking attorney, Jason brings the same precision and commitment he applies in his practice to everything he does for this community. But what drives him most isn't the work — it's the people. Jason is passionate about teamwork, collaboration, and the belief that when a group of dedicated people shows up together, incredible things happen.
That's exactly the kind of PTO he's building this year. One where every board member has a voice, every family feels welcome, and every initiative is a true group effort — because that's what Herff deserves.
Jason is genuinely honored to serve alongside this board and cannot wait to show the Herff community what this year has in store.
Lexy Cliver — Events
Lexy is excited to return as Herff PTO’s Vice President of Events for the 2026–27 school year. This will be her second year serving in the role and her fifth year as a member of the PTO Board. During her time with Herff PTO, Lexy has enjoyed helping bring the school community together and creating memorable experiences for Herff students, families, teachers, and staff.
Lexy and her high school sweetheart, Kevin, have three children: Austin, an 8th grader; Mason, a 7th grader; and Ashlyn, a 4th grader at Herff. With three active kids, much of her time outside of PTO is spent cheering them on from the sidelines at their various sporting events. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, getting lost in a good book, and making memories with friends and family.
Herff holds a special place in Lexy’s heart, particularly because of the incredible teachers and staff who make the school such a welcoming and supportive community. She loves finding ways to celebrate them and make sure they know how much their hard work is appreciated.
As VP of Events, Lexy is looking forward to another fun-filled year of bringing Herff families together, creating special traditions and experiences for students, and, of course, finding plenty of opportunities to spoil Herff’s amazing teachers and staff.
Perot Saelao — Treasurer
Perot is a proud Herff Hawks parent with a background in analytics and a strong passion for supporting teachers, students, and parents. As Treasurer, he is focused on making sure every dollar the PTO raises goes right back into supporting our students, teachers, and school community. Outside of the PTO, you can find him biking his kids around town or finding his next book at the Boerne public library. Perot is excited to be part of a board that is committed to making a real difference at Herff this year!
Jenae Williamson — Secretary
Jenae and her family moved from Houston to Boerne halfway through last school year and quickly found a home in the community. She and her husband, Zac, have four children ranging from first grade through high school, including a son in 5th grade who is in Life Skills. As a special needs mom, Jenae has developed a deep appreciation for educators and enjoys supporting teachers, students, and staff wherever she is most needed.
While the 2026-27 school year will be Jenae's first year serving on the Herff PTO Board, she brings years of PTO experience across elementary, middle, and high school programs. She has served in numerous roles, including Yearbook Chair, Fundraising, Special Events, Classroom Support, Science Lab, Literacy Library, and Special Buddies.
When she's not at the school, you can often find her on the sidelines of Football games watching her child perform in the Boerne High School Marching Band. Or traveling with her younger children for All-Star Cheer.
Jenae is excited to serve as Herff's PTO Secretary this year, bringing her love of organization, attention to detail, and willingness to help wherever she's needed most.
Kristin Porter — Communications
Kristin is a proud Herff Hawks parent who believes that a well-informed community is a connected one.
As Communications Director, she is the voice of the Herff PTO — keeping families in the loop on everything from upcoming events to volunteer opportunities. Outside of the PTO, you can find her navigating a busy work schedule alongside the delightful, non-stop logistics of mom life. Kristin loves being a resource for Herff families and is excited to help make this one of the most connected years the school has ever had!
Alexandra Silva — Fundraising
herffpto.fundraising@gmail.com
Alexandra is a proud Herff Hawks parent serving as PTO Fundraising Director for the 2026–2027 school year. She is the driving force behind the events and initiatives that raise the funds our students and teachers depend on. Alexandra is passionate about creating fundraising experiences that are fun, meaningful, and worthy of the amazing Herff community — because doing good and having a great time should never be mutually exclusive.
Alyssa Scott - Membership/Volunteers
Alyssa and her family are new to Boerne and are excited to be Herff Hawks!
Alyssa and her husband (Blake) have two children: Ava (1st Grade) and Clark (preschool/future Hawk). During her daughter’s Kindergarten year Alyssa was a member of the PTO, volunteered at many events and on campus, was a bonus room mom and assisted with decorating for various campus events. Alyssa is passionate about building a strong school community to support and engage our students, teachers and parents. She throughly enjoys volunteering at school and supporting teachers and staff. She is so excited and honored to serve on the board the year.
Could You Be the Next Hawk on This Board?
The Herff PTO board is made up of parents just like you — people who love this school, believe in its teachers, and want to do something meaningful for the students who walk through its doors every day. We are always looking for passionate, dedicated Herff families who want to carry that torch forward.
Whether you are ready to jump in now or simply want to keep it in mind for the future, we would love to hear from you. There is no experience required — just a heart for this community and a willingness to show up. Every great board starts with one person who raised their hand, and that next person could be you.
If you are interested in joining the board or learning more about what it looks like, reach out to PTO President, Jason Shoup, directly. He would love to connect with you.
Together, we are Rooted in Tradition and Reaching for the Stars — and we always have room for one more Hawk.
