Mission Statement

The mission of the Herff Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is to foster a collaborative relationship between parents, teachers, and the school administration to enhance the educational experience and well-being of all students. We aim to support and enrich the learning environment through volunteerism, fundraising, and effective communication.

Goals

  1. Promote Parental Involvement
    1. Encourage and facilitate active participation of parents in school activities, events, and decision-making processes.
    2. Provide opportunities for parents to volunteer and engage in meaningful way that support the school’s mission.
  2. Enhance Educational Opportunities
    1. Support educational programs and extracurricular activities that contribute to the academic and personal growth of students.
    2. Provide funding and resources for classroom materials, field trips, and other educational enhancements.
  3. Strengthen Community Ties
    1. Foster a strong sense of community within the school by organizing events and activities that bring families, teachers, and staff together.
    2. Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the school community.
  4. Support Teachers and Staff
    1. Show appreciation and provide support for teachers and staff to help them achieve their professional and educational goals.
    2. Facilitate open and effective communication between parents and teachers to address concerns and celebrate successes.
  5. Fundraising and Resource Allocation
    1. Plan and execute fundraising initiatives to support school programs, projects, and needs.
    2. Ensure transparent and responsible management of funds raised, prioritizing initiatives that benefit the students and the school community.
  6. Enhance Communication
    1. Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, teachers, and the school administration through newsletters, social media, and other channels.
    2. Provide timely updates on PTO activities, school events, and opportunities for involvement.
  7. Advocate for Students
    1. Represent and advocate for the interests and well-being of all students in collaboration with the school administration and district officials.
    2. Work to ensure that all students have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

These mission and goals provide a foundation for the Herff Elementary PTO to work effectively towards supporting the school community and enhancing the educational experience for all students.

Your Donation is Tax Deductible

The Herff Elementary PTO is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. All contributions are 100% tax deductible (in excess of the fair market value of the goods or services received in return). Donation receipts will be provided in circumstances where a tax deduction may be claimed.  Our tax ID number is 83-4425412.
