Join the PTO!
A message from PTO President, Dena Tripodo
A message from VP of Fundraising, Karen Morales
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. It is a group of parents, guardians, teachers and other supporters that work together for the benefit of Herff Elementary.
What does the PTO do?
- We show up!
Family Fun Nights, Donuts With Grown-Ups, Bike Rodeo, Watch DOGS, Greatest Show On Herff - all are programs that are planned and staffed by the PTO. - We raise money to fund programs that are not covered by the school budget.
That includes supporting programs like Student Council, NEST FEST, Safety Patrol, 5th Grade Graduation, staff development, staff luncheons and offering teacher grants to purchase classroom materials.
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
Your membership support helps the PTO provide benefits, programs, and materials to all Herff Elementary students. It covers the entire family for one school year. And as a bonus - you will receive online access to the school directory - which is perfect for sending out party invitations or scheduling playdates.
How much is a PTO membership?
Dues are $25 a family and $10 for Herff staff members. We charge for membership because it is one of the ways we raise money to fund the programs that we sponsors.
We do offer membership grants in the event that your family wishes to join the PTO, but is unable to contribute at this time. Please contact us directly at HerffPTO@gmail.com to request a grant.
