💙 What is the PTO?

PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization—a group of parents, guardians, teachers, and school supporters working together to make Herff Elementary the best it can be.

We partner with staff and administration to create enriching experiences for students, support teachers, and strengthen our school community.

🎉 What Does the PTO Do?

We show up—and make things happen!
From hosting fun and meaningful events to funding essential programs, the PTO is behind many of the experiences that make Herff Elementary special.

Some of the programs we plan, staff, and support include:

  • Family Fun Nights

  • Donuts with Grown-Ups

  • Bike Rodeo

  • Watch D.O.G.S.

  • Greatest Show on Herff (GSOH)

We also raise funds to support initiatives not covered by the school budget, such as:

  • Student Council

  • Safety Patrol

  • 5th Grade Graduation

  • Staff development & appreciation

  • Teacher grants for classroom materials

🌟 Why Join the PTO?

Becoming a member means you’re directly supporting programs and resources that benefit every student at Herff. Your membership:

  • Covers your entire household for the full school year

  • Gives you online access to the school directory (perfect for birthday invites, playdates, and carpool coordination)

  • Shows your support for a stronger school community—even if you’re not able to volunteer

💵 How Much is Membership?

  • $25 per family (for the entire school year)

  • $10 for Herff staff members

These dues are an important part of how we fund the events, programs, and teacher support that make Herff thrive.

🤝 Need assistance?
We offer membership grants to ensure every family has the opportunity to join. If you would like to request a grant, please contact us confidentially at HerffPTO@gmail.com.
