Hi Herff Hawks!

We hope you all had a restful break and are excited for a fresh new year at Herff! January and February are quieter months for PTO events, but behind the scenes we’re gearing up for our biggest celebration of the year… The Greatest Show on Herff on March 27th! 🎪✨

Class basket preparations will begin in February, and your Class Parents will reach out with all the details you’ll need. It’s always one of the most fun parts of GSOH, and we can’t wait to see the creativity this year!

We are also beginning to plan for the 2026–2027 PTO Board, and we’d love to hear from anyone interested in joining. If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, now is the perfect time—new board members will start shadowing soon so they can learn the ropes and start the fall strong.

A quick note: Board positions for next year are selected by a small committee (two Herff staff members, two current board members, and two PTO community members not seeking a position). There is no formal community-wide vote.

The Herff Elementary PTO is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Every event, fundraiser, and program you see is powered by parents and guardians who choose to give their time and energy for our kids.

No one here is paid—we do this because we care about supporting teachers, creating memorable experiences for students, and building a strong school community. Your involvement, whether big or small, truly makes the difference.

When we work together as volunteers, we lighten the load, cut out the noise, and focus on what matters most—helping our Hawks soar.

🍬 Treat Trolley Donations Needed! 🍪

Our teachers and staff work so hard every day, and we love surprising them with a rolling cart full of sweet and savory treats! 🎉 Help us keep the Treat Trolley stocked by sending in donations of individually wrapped snacks, candy, drinks, or other fun goodies. Every little bit brings big smiles and shows our appreciation! 💙

Donations can be dropped off in the front office anytime—thank you for helping us spoil our amazing Hawk staff! 🦅✨
